North Sails

Three day shoot onboard various super yachts in the Bay of Islands for North Sails. Capturing what goes on during racing and showcase the sails in use. A good experience learning what is involved in making these amazing yachts move. Some with up to 30 crew. On each yacht I got a run-through of where I can and can’t stand at certain times. During some manoeuvres I was very restricted on where I could be on the yacht. Although these yachts are huge they move around enormously, plowing through the swell and heeling over massively. This all added to the adventure and fun challenge of capturing the moments throughout my time onboard.
